With today’s temperatures reaching the mid 90’s, we are concerned about the impact that the heat may have on students in our schools that have limited air conditioning.
As a result, with the health and safety of our children in mind, Norwalk Public Schools will have a 2 hour early dismissal on Thursday, September 3, at the following schools only:
Nathan Hale Middle School
Ponus Ridge Middle School
Roton Middle School
West Rocks Middle School
Cranbury Elementary
Kendall Elementary
Naramake Elementary
Silvermine Elementary
Tracey Elementary
Wolfpit Elementary
All after-school activities at these schools are also cancelled for tomorrow.
Busses will be available at all schools for early dismissal. Lunch will be served.
We understand that unexpected early dismissals can create problems for families. By making this decision today, we hope to give as much advance notice as possible, so that parents and guardians can make any alternate plans needed. Thank you for your understanding.
