On Saturday, April 8th the Color Vibe 5k will be returning to town! The Color Vibe is a 5k fun run series where participants run, walk, or dance their way through clouds of colored powder. We encourage runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels to participate. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to NAMI Southwest CT. NAMI and its dedicated volunteers work together to raise awareness and provide essential mental health education, advocacy and support group programs. This nonprofit organization addresses the needs of the local community, helping families and individuals affected by mental illness while striving to replace stigma with understanding.
The run starts at 9 AM and finishes at 11 AM at Veterans Park. A live DJ will be playing fun, upbeat music from 7-11 AM (lower volume until 8 AM).
Please note, the following roads will be closed that are along or near the route from 8:30-11:00 AM (Approximately)
- Seaview Ave. (from Fort Point St. to 1st St.)
- Harvey St. to Betts Pl. (residents may leave using Van Zant St. but no through traffic to Seaview Ave.)
- Osborne Ave. at split of Goodrow St.
- East Ave. (from Seaview Ave. to Van Zant St. as no through traffic to Seaview Ave.)
- 1st St. at Cove Ave., 2nd St. at Cove Ave., 3rd St. at Cove Ave., 4th St. at Cove Ave.
- Cove Ave.
- Gregory Blvd. (no through traffic from Sycamore St. and south for beach and resident access)
- 5th St.
- Calf Pasture Beach Rd. (from Marvin St. and up to Spar Rd. Spar Rd. will remain open.)
*Townhome community off Calf Pasture Beach Rd. will use Spar Rd. for exit and entrance*
*Residents south of 5th St. off of Gregory Blvd. will have NO ACCESS in or out*
