A reception for artist Kim Hanna will be held on Friday, July 12th, from 5-7pm at Tusk & Cup Fine Coffee. The artist will speak about her process and the work currently on display in the cafe. The public is warmly invited to attend this event, which is co-sponsored by Tusk & Cup and Watershed Gallery.
Hanna has been the Creative Director of the Ridgefield Guild of Artists since 2005 and has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums on both coasts and was selected as a 2004 'Radius' artist by The Aldrich Contemporary Museum. She uses a vocabulary of symbols as well as tribal and folk art elements in her work. As an intuitive painter and printmaker, Hanna's soft, low-keyed palette challenge the viewer to seek out connections and reveal their own concealed truths.
