What Parents Need to Know

Featuring Kelly Mullins, Program Manager of Education and
Community Outreach at the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury
This presentation will define sexual harassment and give insights into the impact on an individual child as well as a school’s climate. There will be tips and techniques to help parents talk to their children and to help them reinforce the lessons taught in school presentations. Parents will learn the warning signs and the consequences a child may face as the victim or harasser. Resources and steps for reporting will also be discussed.

PBIS – Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports – is a prevention-oriented and research-based approach to intervention that assists school personnel in maximizing social behavioral outcomes for all students. This evening will focus on how PBIS comes to life every day at JRMS and is apparent in our theme of Taking Care . . . of ourselves, of each other, of this place. Please join us!
