Local, Independent Pet Shop is New Sponsor of ROAR Paws For The Cause Walk

The Doggie Fun Zone is back by popular demand at the ROAR Paws for the Cause Walk thanks to Animal Fair Pet Shop!  Animal Fair is the proud sponsor of this sure to please agility course for our four legged friends.  The Animal Fair Pet Shop, located at 90 Danbury Road, is a staple in Ridgefield for all of your pets needs.  They carry food and supplies for all kinds of pets, as well as pure-bred and pedigreed small mammals, hand-fed and other pet birds, family friendly reptiles and fish. 

Owner and operator Connie Packard Kamedulski ventured into the retail pet industry because of her passion for top notch, responsible animal care.  “The pet industry is about relationships, especially the human-animal bond.  Everything we do at Animal Fair impacts the relationship of the pet between its human companions.  Those humans, sometimes know as pet parents, want a relationship with the experts on pet care (that’s us!).  We use our relationships with customers and suppliers to carry the right products in the store at the right time.  We don’t hesitate to refer our customers to their vet if it seems that the question has a medical component.”

Connie is a graduate of the UConn Animal Science program and the United States Pony Club.   Animal Fair Pet Shop was the Grand Prize winner in the “Small Business VIP Contest” presented by Land’s End Business Outfitters.  This was a national contest, open to any small business in the United States that reflects the Land’s End values in customer care and service.

Animal Fair Pet Shop is within barking distance of ROAR!  ROAR dogs are often seen walking past the store and will often stop in for a surprise visit.  Connie and her staff are delighted to help in any way they can and are proud to be sponsoring the Doggy Fun Zone for the Walk.

Blue Buffalo/ROAR Paws for the Cause will be held on Sunday October 5^th at 12:00 pm.  Registration/check-in and all activities start at noon.  New this year: Doggie Talent Show at 1pm  for kids 12 and under.  Prizes will be given for Best Dressed, Best Kisser, Best Smile, and Best Trick.  Grand Prize is a Celebrity Scooper for the Day at Carvel.  Celebrity Judges include Officer Shawn Murray (accompanied by his new dog in training), Connie Packard Kamedulski (Animal Fair), Anita Donofrio and Adam Broderick.  Walk begins at 2:15 sharp!  Join us for food (courtesy of Genoa Deli), Carvel Ice Cream, music, Doggie Fun Zone, face-painting, pet photo booth (courtesy of Dr. Langberg) and so much more!  To register in advance: www.roar-ridgefield.org
