Stamford Restaurant Amore Cucina to Donate 100% of their Sales on 4/27 to the Susan G. Komen CT Chapter’s Race for the Cure

Bruno DiFabio, owner of the newly opened Amore Cucina & Bar in Stamford’s Springdale neighborhood, has announced his support of a local foundation that he and the staff have a personal connection with, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. To help raise funds in support of the foundation’s annual “Race for the Cure” event on April 27, 2015, Amore Cucina & Bar will donate 100% of the day’s sales – both lunch and dinner – to the cause.  The funds will go directly to supporting breast cancer research and future programs through this CT chapter. The actual “Race for the Cure” will be held on May 9, 2015 at the Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT.

Bruno made his first pizza as a kid in the former Amore Restaurant, and with numerous awards, 11 restaurants, and several Food Network gigs later, he returned to the establishment with fresh ideas, one of the most innovative menus around, and an all-new perspective on pizza-making and Italian cuisine. Amore Cucina & Bar pays homage to its predecessor by offering classic Italian specialties, house made pastas and pizzas, yet Bruno and executive chef Jared have infused every dish with their unique culinary interpretation.

“The community in Stamford has welcomed Amore to the restaurant scene and I chose to offer this partnership as a way to say I’m thankful,” stated Bruno DiFabio, Chef/Owner. “I chose the Susan G. Komen foundation because some of my staff have family members who have battled breast cancer and it’s a way we can come together at the restaurant to help support the cause.”
