The Redding Garden Club is inviting all its members, past and present, to a fiftieth anniversary reunion. The club is arranging the gathering as part of its Golden Anniversary luncheon on June 3 at the Redding Country Club. "We'd love to have everyone celebrate with us," said president Karen De Friesse. "Our club has such deep roots in the community. So many people have contributed their time and talents over the years, and we'd like to say thank you."
Locating former members, however, has turned out to be somewhat of a challenge. "Many people moved," said luncheon chair Johanne Kurz. And of course they didn't have email thirty or forty years ago." At the luncheon the seating will be open, so people who know each other can sit together. "Friends can sit with friends," said Ms Kurz. "And don't forget our raffle. We've got great prizes everybody can win!"
