One Day, Two Great Events: Next Thursday at Mark Twain Library

Next Thursday there are two great events to look forward to at Mark Twain Library!

First, at 10 am:

“Transitions Journaling Workshop” by local artist Kathy Coe Taeuber. She'll be sharing tips and inspiration to help you start creating your own journal to document important moments! Ms. Taeuber is an accomplished artist who has won numerous awards and also painted the mural at Gilda’s House, the cancer support center named in honor of Comedian Gilda Radner.

Register online, call 203.938.2545, or stop in to sign up. Space is limited to 20 participants

Then in the evening, at 7:30 PM:

“Breathing of An Ancestor’s Time” with Charles R. Hale, Redding resident and co-founder of Artists Without Walls in NYC. For his program here at the Library, Mr. Hale will share video shorts (reminiscent of Ken Burns’ documentaries) of his Irish family history; some are funny, others heartbreaking. He’s put together these videos using his family story as the narrative vehicle, but he also widens the lens to show the bigger picture of what was going on in society at the time. Get tips on how to move beyond the family tree to tell your own stories. Register online, call the library at 203.938.2545, or stop in to sign up.
