Three chefs will match sharp knives and quick wits in an exciting culinary showdown to benefit Founders Hall. Chefs Silvia Bianco, formerly of Biscotti’s, Bernard Bouissou of Bernard’s, and Prasad Chirnomula of Thali will open a basket of surprise ingredients in front of a live audience and, in just 60 minutes, vie to create the winning entrée, as judged by a panel of food experts including renowned food writer Jane Stern will and wine and cheese connoisseur Monica Brown of No. 109 Cheese and Wine will judge the chefs on their creativity, craftsmanship and culinary results. Amy Kundrat, executive editor of the award-winning regional food blog CTbites, along with its founder Stephanie Webster, will referee this showdown.
Join the Battle to savor and judge appetizers created by the three master chefs for this event. Mingle with the chefs before and after the entrée competition; get up close and personal as they compete under pressure. Cheer them on while you feast on delicious hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. Indulge your tastebuds when you buy either a seat at a tasting table (a limited number will be available) or the winning raffle ticket for the open slot on the judges panel. Delight in signature desserts from all three chefs.
