Join in the biggest "Scare-Do" Downtown as CityCenter Danbury hosts the event on Halloween, Saturday, October 31
CityCenter Danbury's Managing Director, Pat Hembrook ought to know. Not only is she a grandma who proudly displays her grandchildren on her office computer screen, but she also coordinates Halloween on the Green, a giganto celebration of all things monsters & mash. The popular Downtown tradition, in its 23rd year, will once again draw hundreds of costumed revelers on Saturday, October 31st (Halloween!) at 2:00pm to the CityCenter Danbury Green (at Ives Street). So don your favorite superhero's tights, pointed witch's hat, fairy-princess gown, green fright wig, or anything else you may dream up, and join in the biggest "scare-do" Downtown.
Goodie bags will be provided to the first 500 costumed children, and prizes for Most Original, Scariest, Cutest, and Funniest will be awarded after a 3:30pm parade around town. The judges will also be looking for the "Best of the Best" - here's a chance to make a scary statement, comic comment, or or just good ol' funny fun! Entertainment will include the Tooth Fairy, courtesy of Dental Associates of Connecticut, music by Summit Entertainment, and a Danbury children's favorite, the Traditional Children's Games presented by the Portuguese Cultural Society. A "Guess the Weight & Win a Pumpkin" contest, a free photo booth, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank, and lots of other games and activities are planned.
