New Pond Farm Education Center’s Annual Harvest Festival

New Pond Farm Education Center’s Annual Harvest Festival will take place on Saturday, October 17th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. (rain date: Sunday, Oct. 18th from 1-4 p.m.)

It will be a wonderful day for the whole family. There will be Historical Demonstrations of broom carving, rope making and open hearth cooking, as well as a display of antique tools.

Livestock will be featured during the day: there will be a team of majestic Percherons giving wagon rides through the pastures. Guests will also enjoy the farm’s own dairy herd & their calves, and we will be shearing our sheep and selling beautiful yarn from the farm’s Romney flock.

Try your hand at harvest crafts like making a grapevine wreath, decorating a pumpkin, rolling beeswax candles, creating an apple-print bandana, and making cornhusk creations.

There will also be delicious treats provided by the Girl Scouts of Redding.

$5 per person (over 3 years old) or $20 per family. There will also be small fees to cover cost of crafts.
