Harrybrooke Park Fundraiser Event To Feature Two Country Music Bands, Sat., Aug. 6

HARRYBROOKE PARK TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL BOURBON, BREW & Q FUNDRAISER AUGUST 6

Harrybrooke Park, a not-for-profit organization, will host will host their second annual Bourbon, Brew & Q on Saturday, August 6th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. rain or shine, at the Park located at 100 Still River Drive in New Milford. The event will feature the return of the popular Mason West southern rock tribute band of Wolcott, Connecticut, and Moonshine band of Easton, CT, with a taste of today’s country sounds.

New Milford’s ‘famous’ Cookhouse, voted “Connecticut’s Best Barbecue” by “Connecticut Magazine”, will offer their award-winning BBQ foods for purchase throughout the event. The Cookhouse’s BBQ dishes will include sweet and savory BBQ and cold beer. Nejaime’s Wine and Spirits in New Milford will be selling selections of bourbons and wines. The American Pie Company of Sherman will once again offer a variety of delicious sweets for purchase as well.

Harrybrooke Park’s privately-owned and maintained spacious 48 acres are ‘home’ to the Harden House Museum (now open for tours by appointment), two outdoor event pavilions, a duck pond, a variety of numerous nature trails, wetlands, a walking/bicycling loop and scenic views of the Still River. In 1965 the Park was generously left in trust for the people of New Milford by the late Frank Harden.

Host of the August 6 event is Harrybrooke Park, a non-profit volunteer organization committed to the preservation of the Park’s natural beauty and upkeep of the Park’s facilities and the Harden House Museum. Harrybrooke Park is open to the public at no charge from sunrise to sunset year round.  Endowed by a trust fund, it is governed by a Board of Managers and receives no funding from the Town of New Milford. Events are made possible by the hard-working volunteers of the Park, the Friends of Harrybrooke.

Tickets for adults to enter the Bourbon, Brew & Q are $10 in advance, and $15 at the gate on August 6th. All proceeds will benefit the Park, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. To order tickets, or for more information, visit www.harrybrookepark.org or call 860-799-6520.
