A Look Back: Most Read Articles in 2014 and a Message from the Editor

I take such pleasure in being the editor of Redding's HamletHub. I've met people I wouldn't normally have, become friends in "real life" with people I originally met through online interactions about our towns and shared interests. I've attended fun events, been able to help promote good causes and local businesses, and stay involved in the town.

All of these experiences and connections have helped increase the spread of my personal blog, "Adeline Jessica in Connecticut." Thank you to everyone who reads my restaurant reviews and event recaps! If you haven't seen it, I'll shamelessly promote it now and share the link

This is certainly a labor of love, and though it does not equate to monetary success, I see the experiences and connections I have gained as my income. I so appreciate this community and all the wonderful people in it.

As the year comes to a close, I'd like to share some of the most read articles from 2014. Looking at them, it's clear what we all love to read most: news about new businesses, recipes, and fun stories about our neighbors' successes.

Here's the list:

10. How to Use Social Media to Lose Weight and Get in Shape

9. Local Favorite Georgie Brennan Performing at 850 Degrees to Benefit Molly Ann Tango Foundation

8. An Affair to Remember: The Mark Twain Library's First Annual Pudd'nhead Prize Gala
