Early Prayer Service Honors Mothers

St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will hold a 20-minute Mother’s Day Morning Prayer service this Sunday at 7 a.m. that is meant for everyone – including runners in the annual Run Like A Mother race – to remember mothers, both past and present. The church is located at 351 Main St. in Ridgefield, not far from Yanity Gym, where the 5K race gets under way at 8:30 a.m.

“This brief service will give those present a chance to sit in a quiet space and hear readings and reflections on the role of mothers in our lives,” said the Rev. Whitney Altopp, rector of St. Stephen’s.  “It will also include silent prayer. Come dressed in your running gear if you’re participating in the race. All are welcome.”
