RVNA Brings Grief Out of the Closet

3-week series led by Certified Grief Recovery Specialist® starts in mid-June

Loss is an inevitable part of life, and grief is a natural part of the healing process. The reasons for grief are many, such as the loss of a loved one, the loss of health, the end of a marriage, or the letting go of a long-held dream. Dealing with a significant loss can be one of the most difficult times in a person's life.  Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association (RVNA) is offering a free three-week series led by Ethel-Anne Roome, a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, entitled “Bringing Grief Out of the Closet.”  The goal of this series is to bring the topic of grief out into the open and discuss ways to help yourself and others who are experiencing the pain of loss.

The series schedule is as follows:

  •        June 16th:  What TO say and What NOT to say to a Griever
  •        June 23rd:  Dispelling the Myths About Grief….Does Time REALLY Heal All Wounds?
  •        June 30th:  Feeling Better…Moving From Feelings of Grief to Relief

All classes will take place from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at RVNA’s Center for Exceptional Care, located at 27 Governor Street in Ridgefield. People may attend some or all of the evenings. Please RSVP to 203-438-5555.

Refreshments will be served. Handouts will be given for each presentation.
