Multipractice merger unites Coastal Orthopedics, Danbury Orthopedics, New Milford Orthopedics & Connecticut Pain Care

Orthopedic and Pain Care Practices announce new name: OrthoConnecticut

Four large, well-known practices are uniting under the new name: OrthoConnecticut. Coastal Orthopedics, Danbury Orthopedics, New Milford Orthopedics, and Connecticut Pain Care have merged their practices and expertise to provide improved patient-centered care for the full range of musculoskeletal issues. The new group has the strength of thirty-one Board-certified orthopedic and pain management specialists in nine office locations in Connecticut.

The practices that form OrthoConnecticut are each highly reputable, independent physician groups, and have collectively cared for residents in our region for more than 90 years. By joining forces, they are able to enhance delivery of the highest quality, comprehensive musculoskeletal care through a range of integrated services. Services are offered at multiple convenient office locations including Danbury, Darien, New Canaan, New Milford, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Sharon, Southbury and Westport.

OrthoConnecticut is also expanding its pain management services to include 4 fellowship trained, Board-certified pain management specialists, who provide the latest treatments to alleviate and control chronic pain. The physician team uses advanced interventional pain therapies and regenerative medicine techniques to repair damaged or injured structures, and help restore patient function. The Pain Management specialists see patients in Danbury, New Canaan, and Norwalk.

In addition, OrthoCare Express, the practice’s walk-in orthopedic urgent care service for the treatment of acute orthopedic injuries, now offers four convenient locations at their offices in Danbury, Norwalk, Darien, and Westport. OrthoConnecticut provides on-site physical therapy and hand therapy in Danbury, Norwalk, and Westport.

“OrthoConnecticut brings together the same local specialists that our patients have come to know and trust,” says Dr. Michael Brand, Co-President of OrthoConnecticut. “This new alliance allows us to provide the most advanced care in a more individualized and efficient fashion, offering a broad array of services and locations. Our name has changed but our patients can expect the same type of high quality individualized service that they have received for years,” adds Dr. Michael Lynch, Co-President. Patients can still reach their physicians using the same contact numbers from the prior practices.

The unification will bring together the top musculoskeletal experts in the area and will help to meet the areas future needs for orthopedic, spinal and sports medicine care in this ever-changing healthcare landscape. As a combined entity, OrthoConnecticut can better serve its patient population through partnerships with other healthcare providers and expanded relationships with insurance companies. The end result will be cost-effective and convenient complete musculoskeletal care for the community.
