Wooster School Fall Athletes Receive Honors

The fall regional athletic honors have arrived for girls volleyball, boys soccer, cross country, and girls soccer. Congratulations to all of our students on these accomplishments and representing Wooster School at the highest level!

Girls Varsity Volleyball:

Housatonic Valley Athletic League Honors

1st Team: Mimi Pelton-McCormick ‘19 and Olivia Edelman ‘18

Honorable Mention: Brittany Reid ‘18 and Caitlyn Strauss ‘18

Regional Honors

Olivia Edelman ‘18, Brittany Reid ‘18, Mimi Pelton-McCormick ‘19, and Karelin Dominguez ‘19 were selected to represent Wooster School at the New England Prep School Girls Volleyball Association (NEPSGVA) All-Star game.

Regional Honors

Morgan McCutcheon ‘18 and Meghan Bourgeault ‘20 were selected to represent Wooster School at the Women's Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WWNEPSSA) Class C/D All-Star game that took place on November 12 at Ethel Walker School. WWNEPSSA is a 54 team league that represents schools in Western New England and Eastern New York, the largest and longest running prep school soccer association in the country.

Honorable Mention: Jacob Smith '19

Regional Honors

Alan Jos ‘19 and Jacob Smith ‘19 were selected to represent Wooster School at the Western New England Prep School Soccer Association (WNEPSSA) Class C/D All-Star game that took place on November 12 at Loomis Chaffee School.  WNEPSSA is a 54 team league that represents schools in Western New England and Eastern New York, the largest and longest running prep school soccer association in the country.

Drew Schnaudigel ‘18 and Jacob Smith ‘19 were also selected to play in the New England Prep School Soccer Association (NEPSSA) All-Star games. Drew played in the Senior All-Star game and Jacob played in the Junior All-Star game at Northfield Mount Hermon School that took place on November 19. 

Alan Jos ‘19 and Jacob Smith ‘19 were selected to the elite Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association All-State Prep Team.

Girls’ 1st Team: Lauren Guzzardi ‘19, Julia Bauer ‘19, and Caylynn Maldonado ‘18

Boys’ 1st Team: Daniel Michael ‘18, Bennett Wattles ‘18, and Lukas Fink ‘18

Regional Honors

Wooster Varsity Cross Country team participated in the New England Prep School Track Association (NEPSTA) Division IV Cross Country Championships on November 11 at Berwick Academy in Berwick Maine. The boys had their strongest showing to date finishing 9th out of 28 teams. The Wooster boys top finisher was senior Daniel Michael '18 who finished 24th followed closely by Bennett Wattles '18 in 30th (184 boys ran the race).  The Wooster girls finished 11th out of 16 teams, led by Lauren Guzzardi '19 who finished in 26th place. She was followed closely by Caylynn Maldonado '18 and Julia Bauer '19 (31st and 36th places respectively).
