Redding Resident Julong Sage Williams Named Connecticut Essay Contest Runner-up

Last month several Wooster sixth grade students acted upon an invitation from Senator Michael A. McLachlan, State Senator from Connecticut's 24 District, to participate in an essay contest celebrating Women's History Month. To participate, students wrote essays on the topic of notable Connecticut women and their contributions and accomplishments.

Sixth grader Megan Henegan was named the Winner and Julong Sage Williams was named the Runner-Up representing Wooster School in the essay contest.

Each student received a State of Connecticut General Assembly Official Citation, introduced by Senator Michael A. McLachlan. “Your well-written essay truly captures the importance of leadership, determination, and trailblazing spirit. We commend you for your commitment to academic excellence. My best wishes to you for continued success in your studies and future endeavors. The entire membership extends its very best wishes on this memorable occasion and expresses the hope for continues success.”

Congratulations Megan and Julong!
