Patriotic Concert in Ridgefield Aims to Honor Veterans, Stir National Pride

A Patriotic Concert will close out the Fountain Music Series season on Friday, June 2, at 7:30 PM, at the First Congregational Church (FCC) of Ridgefield. This Memorial Day tribute will include traditional patriotic and other American tunes composed by Aaron Copland, Irving Berlin, John Phillips Sousa, James Erb, and Katherine Lee Bates. A special musical tribute will separately honor veterans of each branch of military service in recognition of those who paid the costliest price for our freedom. The concert will feature the five-octave Celebration Ringers, a 30-voice Concert Choir, a large professional wind ensemble, soloists, and student interns from Western Connecticut State University.

The historic First Congregational Church of Ridgefield is located at 103 Main Street, Ridgefield. A free will offering will help support the Fountain Music Series, now in its 21st season.

Please note that the Church has a wheelchair entrance on the north side (West Lane) of the building.
