Pain, Pain Go Away: Panel Discussion on Surgical and Non-Surgical Options for Knee and Hip Pain

Recognizing that there really is no gain with pain when it comes to the joints, RVNA is hosting a panel discussion on treatment options for addressing knee and hip pain. The event, Surgical and Non-Surgical Options for Knee and Hip Pain will take place at RVNA on Thursday evening, November 9 and will include Sanjay Gupta, M.D., Joint Replacement Specialist and Antonio Paz, M.D., Interventional Pain Management Specialist, both of Orthopaedic Specialists of Connecticut as well as Gigi Weiss, MSPT, Director of Rehabilitation Services, RVNA & Rehab by RVNA. A question & answer period will follow the discussion.

“Working through joint pain is not going to make you stronger,” says Weiss. “On the contrary, it will compromise your mobility and lifestyle which can have a direct impact on your health and happiness. Identifying the cause of the pain and addressing the problem is the only way to move forward and recover your strength and locomotion.”

In the discussion, Dr. Gupta will focus on surgical options for knee and hip pain, including same-day surgery. “Many people fear they won’t be able to do much after a total joint replacement,” he says, “but in reality, patients go back to leading normal and productive lives.”

Dr. Paz will present the latest and most effective non-surgical treatments; and Gigi Weiss will discuss rehabilitative therapies to complement both surgical and non-surgical treatments.

Surgical and Non-Surgical Options for Knee and Hip Pain will run from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at RVNA, 27 Governor Street in Ridgefield, CT. The event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is recommended at 203-438-5555 or info@ridgefieldvna.org.
