Nutmeg Festival Amasses Impressive Silent Auction

St. Stephen's 108th Nutmeg Festival, set for Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., has assembled a large and varied list of items for this year'sSilent Auction. The Festival takes place on the church's campus at 351 Main St. in Ridgefield.

Attendees will be able to bid on gift certificates and baskets from local retailers and restaurants, tickets to the Westport Country Playhouse, dinner at the Melting Pot restaurant in White Plains (with transportation to and from), jewelry from Craig's Fine Jewelry and Tiffany and very special Mets baseball tickets.

The list is as varied as golf packages at area courses, including Silver Spring Country Club, and I Love Lucy mementos. Annette Robertson, in the accompanying photo, displays a few of the I Love Lucy items – a clock, tray and a T-shirt, which she is modeling.

Annette and Debbie Morrison are chairmen of this year's Silent Auction, which is just one of many features in what is one of the oldest church fairs in Connecticut. The event also features music, food, games for children, a magician, books, jewelry, collectibles, furniture, a White Elephant sale and a raffle. A large portion of the Festival proceeds will benefit local charities.
