Wine with Friends and Exhibit Preview: A Tasting Hosted by Friends of the Danbury Museum & Historical Society and Wine World of Bethel

On Thursday, April 30th, the Danbury Museum & Historical Society will host 'Wine with Friends,' a wine tasting fundraiser, hosted by Wine World of Bethel, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The evening will feature a selection of wines that are perfect for Spring and early Summer entertaining and guests will also get a chance to preview the Danbury Museum's upcoming exhibit, Focus on the Fifties before it's official opening on June 13, 2015.

“We're excited to partner with Wine World and spotlight the fascinating stories of a more recent time in Danbury's history,” said Brigid Guertin, Executive Director of the Danbury Museum & Historical Society.

“This event is a great opportunity to gather with our friends and make new ones as well,” stated DMHS Board President, Erika Askin.

Attendees will enjoy a lovely spread of cheese and crudite while they sample a fine selection of more than 30 wines.  They will also have an opportunity to place orders with a portion of each sale to benefit the museum.

The Focus on the Fifties exhibition will feature Danbury people, places, events and objects that defined our city for a decade.

Tickets for the event are $25.00 and 100% of ticket sales benefit the Danbury Museum & Historical Society.  These can be ordered via the link on the museum website at: www.danburymuseum.org or by phoning 203.743.5200.
