Ridgefield Guild of Artists: Walk and Talk

The Ridgefield Guild of Artists presents another installment of their popular Walk and Talk series Sunday, October 18th from 3pm to 5pm at the gallery on Halpin Lane.

The Walk and Talk series focuses on local artists and provides a forum to share ideas, learn new techniques and get inspired. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

This discussion will build off the successful 38th Annual Juried Exhibition. Five artists accepted into the show will speak about their submissions.

Natasha Karpinskaia, from Wilton, was the Best in Show artist and will be on hand to talk about her multi media piece and her method. Ridgefield artist, Chris Perry, will discuss his paper and fabric sculpture. Chris Rexon is a Redding photographer who will speak about her process. Sharon Cavagnolo of Mt. Kisco, NY, will speak to her gouche, ink and graphite piece and her artistic practice. Lastly, Galina Dargery of Tuckahoe, NY will discuss her oil painting process.

Nancy Moore is the guild’s host for Walk and Talks: “Once again, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists has managed to showcase a wealth of talent from area artists working in a vast array of media. Juror Lisa Messinger had an embarrassment of riches to choose from, and the result is a well-curated treasure trove." The artists in the Walk and Talk represent that variety of talent.

The 38th Annual Juried Exhibition continues through Sunday, October 25th. Gallery hours are Wednesday – Sunday, noon – 4pm. The guild is located at 34 Halpin Lane. For more information, visit rgoa.org or call 203.438.8863.
