Republicans Honoring Shaban, Carter this Saturday

The Redding Republican Town Committee’s ‘Favorite Sons’ cocktail party and silent auction is this Saturday, September 24th from 4-7PM at the Redding Country Club. The event will honor Redding’s two favorite son candidates for federal office: State Representative Dan Carter who is running for U.S. Senate; and State Representative John Shaban, who is running for the 4th U.S. Congressional seat. 

John Shaban is a two term state representative for the 135th District, comprising Easton, Weston and part of Redding; Dan Carter is a two term state representative for the 2nd District, comprising Bethel, part of Danbury and part of Redding. Shaban is a Redding resident and Carter is a former Redding resident.

Also featured as special speaker will be Connecticut's General Assembly Minority Leader, Themis Klarides. Ms. Klarides is the first woman to hold the position of  Republican Minority Leader in the history of Connecticut’s General Assembly.

The evening will include cocktails (cash bar), fabulous hors d'oeuvres (prepared by chef Jean-Marc Cabirol) and a silent auction, featuring great golf outings, tickets to professional sporting events, dinners at local restaurants and much more.

Suggested contribution for this event is $50 per person.

It will be a great occasion, ” added Thompson.
