Plastic for Tickets on Danbury Branch Trains

Onboard Prices Apply

Customers traveling on the Danbury Branch can now use their credit cards to purchase tickets onboard their trains as part of a limited pilot program to test new Ticket Issuing Machines (TIMs).   Ticket purchases may be made using any major credit card or you may use your debit card as a credit card.  

Please remember that purchasing your ticket on board the train is always the most expensive option.

Brewster Too

Customers traveling on the the Danbury Branch and Wassaic Branch will be able to use their credit cards to purchase tickets onboard their trains as part of a limited pilot program to test new Ticket Issuing Machines (TIMs). 

  • On the Danbury Branch, onboard credit card payments will begin on Monday, October 27.
  • On the Wassaic Branch, onboard credit card payments are now available on a limited number of trains and will begin on all trains on Monday, October 20.

Conductors will also be able to print out customer receipts from their upgraded TIMs.

Listen for Expanding Service

This new customer convenience is being tested on these branch lines before being expanded to all lines. (During this test period, the new TIMs may be in use for credit card purchases on a limited number of additional trains on other lines. Customers should listen for train announcements.)
