RHS intern goes from books to blooms with Botanicals by Jessica

Senior internships are underway, giving Ridgefield High School students a chance to step out of the classroom and into the real world—trading textbooks for toolkits. It’s a season of discovery, where learning gets a new backdrop: shop floors, nonprofit offices, local businesses, and more.

Jessica Bowen, founder of Botanicals by Jessica, is giving high school interns something to sink their hands into—soil, stems, and the rhythm of running a small business.

Botanicals by Jessica is proud to participate in the Ridgefield High School senior internship program for the fourth consecutive year—but this spring feels especially meaningful, as it’s the first time Jessica is hosting an intern at her very own storefront at 62 Danbury Road.

Jessica says, “We're thrilled to welcome Bridget O’Leary, a bright and creative senior who’s diving into the colorful world of retail with a mix of hands-on training in customer service, display building, and a first look at floral design. Bridget’s natural eye for detail and contagious energy have already made her a blooming success behind the counter. We can’t wait to see her talents blossom even further as she heads off to the University of Pittsburgh this fall!”
