Ridgefield High School junior Eve Aronow has spent more than a decade lighting up the Ridgefield Playhouse stage as a dancer in the Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance’s Nutcracker—including her dream role as the Sugar Plum Fairy. But this spring, she stepped into a new spotlight.
Eve launched a bottle and can drive called “Ballerina & Bottles,” raising over $1,000 for the Ridgefield Playhouse’s Arts in Education (AIE) program in a heartfelt effort to give back to a stage that has meant so much to her.
“The Playhouse means so much to me,” says Eve. “I’m passionate about making arts education available for all students.”
She’s not just talking the talk. Her collection drive directly supports a program that brings 30 live curriculum-based performances and 9 virtual shows—completely free of charge—to students across Connecticut and New York. Through performances, study materials, free books, and hands-on workshops, AIE turns the theater into a classroom without walls, particularly for Title 1 schools.
The Ridgefield Playhouse proudly shared, “Evie Aronow stopped by the Ridgefield Playhouse to drop off a donation to the Arts in Education program. Evie raised over $1,000 through her Ballerina & Bottles service project.”
Thank you, Eve—for the pirouettes and the passion.
