Sunshine, Swings, and Style at Women’s Golf Day in Ridgefield

It was the perfect Sunday to swing into summer (and bring the heat that May hasn’t!)

Today, local women gathered at The Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield for Women’s Golf Day—a lively morning filled with camaraderie, movement, and just the right amount of sparkle. Set on The National, GPC’s scenic 9-hole short course, the event was all about fun, fitness, and meeting fellow golf-loving (or golf-curious) ladies.

The vibe was easy and upbeat, with a Full Swing & Short Game Clinic led by GPC pros, a light (and delicious) brunch by Chef Rob, Executive Chef of the Golf Performance Center Academy (those egg, broccoli, and cheese bites and TEE sandwiches were a hit), and plenty of mingling over mimosas and fresh fruit.

Style had its moment too, thanks to Midspring—a sleek new line of women’s golfwear co-founded by Ridgefield High School alums and lifelong friends Meredith (Maher) Carmody and Shannon (Galowski) Arniel. Their pieces were polished, flattering, and made to move—perfect for a day on the green or off.

The event was organized by USA Junior Golf Federation Executive Director Kim Genzburg and brought together a fun mix of women, from seasoned players to total newbies. One thing was clear: golf isn’t just a game here—it’s a great way to connect!

Did you know? The National is open to the public (and there is always time for 9!) Learn more https://thegolfperformanceacademy.com/
