Why Small Businesses Matter in Ridgefield: Pivot Dance Club

asset

Local Business Champion: Pivot Dance Club

Meet Tonja Dias, founder of Pivot Dance Club

Why did you start Pivot Dance Club?

My husband and I settled into this charming town over a decade ago, and it quickly felt like home. We knew we wanted to open a studio here, but we waited until both of our daughters were settled into elementary school before taking that leap. Now that the timing is right, we’re excited to grow a dance community in the same town where we’re raising our family.

What is your best product or service?

Dancing! Whether it’s a first wedding dance, a fun date night activity, or learning a style like Salsa or Swing, dance is what we do best. It’s joyful, it’s empowering, and it brings people together. Our group classes, private lessons, and social dance parties offer something for every level—from total beginner to seasoned competitor, adult or child.

What sets Pivot Dance Club apart?

We’ve designed Pivot to be more than just a place to take dance lessons—it’s a space where people connect, build confidence, and have fun. We’ve reimagined the typical dance studio experience by making it feel warm, personalized, and community-driven. Every student is part of something special here, not just a class roster.

Pivot Dance Club is located in Way of the Sword: 21A Governor Street
