The community is invited to meet educator and activist, Kakenya Ntaiya on Wednesday, April 25 from 7-9pm at The Ridgefield Community Center.
Born in a remote Kenyan village, life could have followed a traditional path, but it didn't for Kakenya. She finished high school and went on to college in the US. Soon she will receive her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. A dream realized with a very interesting story to tell.
She is a remarkable woman who came to Connecticut with a dream of building a girls' school in Kenya. She returns to talk about what has been accomplished and what remains to be done. Kakenya is a dynamic speaker with a huge vision for the future of girls.
