State Senator Toni Boucher (R-26) Congratulates Westport Little League

Editor’s Note: Senator Toni Boucher (R-26) released the following statement today regarding the Westport Little League 12 and under All-Stars reaching the Little League World Series. Senator Boucher is the Ranking Member of the General Assembly’s Education, Higher Education, and Transportation Committees and also serves on the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee. She represents the 26th district towns of Bethel, Ridgefield, Wilton, Weston, Westport, New Canaan, and Redding.

"I hope you will join me in congratulating the extraordinary accomplishments of the Westport Little League All-Stars. We are all very proud of them. My family and I have been following them on TV with great pride and enthusiasm. They will be playing in the little league world series opener this week in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  I wish them well and will be hoping for a win!"

The Westport Little League All-Stars will play Southeast champion Nashville, Tenn., in their first game Thursday at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

The game begins at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2.
