A Note from Chris Nolan, Ridgefield Library Director & Philip Lodewick, Campaign Chair

We need you as one of our key supporters to join the audience at the Board of Selectmen Meeting tomorrow evening. This is the third meeting and we sincerely hope that the Selectmen will vote to approve a March 6th referendum. The meeting will take place in the Lower Level of Town Hall at 8 pm.

Waiting for a May referendum delays the start of construction. It also adds an additional $150,000 from increased rental costs of our interim location and incurring a second winter of construction. That is money that comes out of the donors' contributions. We need that money to remain available to the project.

The fact that the Library has raised in excess of $14M is wonderful. However, much of that money is contingent on the Town's contribution of $5M. When asked why we can't built a $15M library, the answer is simple: the donors gave to a $20M project that is a partnership with the Town.

Your attendance tomorrow evening is critical and sends a strong and important message to our elected officials. See you there.
