Guilded Lynx on Main Street Offers Jewelry Making Class for All Levels of Artists

Have you ever wanted to design and create your own piece of jewelry? The Guilded Lynx opened last fall to offer Ridgefield residents exactly that. Now on Main Street, the metal arts studio and school provides a place for artists of all levels to learn, share and inspire one another in the fine craft of jewelry smithing.

A few benches are still available for two chain making classes on February 25 and 26 with the nationally recognized silversmith and instructor, Bridgette Rallo.

Rallo has been handcrafting jewelry in her Greenwoods Studio for thirty years and shows in Stockbridge, MA.

Students will complete an eight inch Byzantine silver bracelet and also take with them the "art of chainmaille" - so that they can continue their new craft in their homes. Alternatively, they can work with their fellow artists by renting bench time at the studio.

The classes run from 10:00 a.m. - 5 p.m. for $150 each plus a materials fee.

Lessley Burke, a Ridgefield resident for over twenty years, opened the Guilded Lynx Jewelry & Metal Arts Studio & School last fall. All levels of artists come together here to work, learn, teach and inspire one another in the fine art of metalsmithing.

A discount is offered to students who sign up for both classes.
