Final Results of the 2014 Chowdafest are IN!
According to Chowdafest founder, Jim Keenan, there was record attendance at this year's event. The best part? There was a record donation to the Connecticut Food Bank - 30,000 plus meals!
Chowdafest highlights:
- Norwalk is the unofficial "chowda capital of CT" taking 6 of the total 12 awards, winning 2 of the 4 categories and sweeping the Creative Chowder category.
- Liquid Lunch set a record for having an entry in three categories.
- The competition continues to expand outside Fairfield County with High Tide Gourmet, Lenny & Joes and Cask Republic among others, making the competition more state-wide.
- First inductees into the Bowl of Fame - Chef Pietro Scotti and Sweet Potato Clam Chowder from the Ginger Man.
