The Ridgefield High School Key Club has donated $1,000 to the Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation Kids Care Club. Funds raised came from proceeds the student club members raised after conducting a year of seasonal bake sales. Adding a personal touch to their donation, and hoping to put a smile on children's faces, they also drew and donated unique superhero drawings for pediatric patients at Danbury Hospital.
"This is the third time the Ridgefield High School Key club has supported the Western Connecticut Health Network Kids Care Club program," said Chief Development Officer Grace Linhard. "We are very thankful for their continued generosity and philanthropic leadership."
The Ridgefield High School Key Club is a member of the Western Connecticut Health Network Kids Care Club, a philanthropic program for children and young adults under the age of 18.

The Kids Care Club at Western Connecticut Health Network encourages children under the age of 18 to make donations in support of pediatric programs and services at Danbury Hospital and/or New Milford Hospital. Donations help purchase toys, videos/movies, video games and systems, and more to make children's hospital stays more comfortable. Children raise funds in many ways, including: asking friends and family for donations; organizing penny drives, lemonade stands, or other events; raising funds in lieu of birthday gifts; or donating a portion of their allowance.
