Tales to Tails: See Your Child Read to Trained ROAR Therapy Dogs

Do you want to see your child improve as a reader and speaker, while at the same time witness one of the most adorable scenes you can imagine unfold before your very eyes? What parent could say no to that!

On Saturday, July 26 from 11 am – noon, ROAR's (Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue) Therapy Dog Program will be bringing therapy dogs to the Wilton Library for children to read to them. The use of trained therapy dogs in reading programs can result in children who feel comfortable reading out loud, read more often, attempt more difficult books, and actually look forward to reading.

Children must read independently to participate in this program. There is no program charge, but registration is required. To register please click here, and provide the necessary information. Call (203) 762-3950 for more details.
