JoyRide Ridgefield Introduces First Annual “ToyRide”

A Two Day Toy Drive for Children in Need

JoyRide Ridgefield announces the first annual “ToyRide” event, a toy drive for children in need to be held on Saturday, December 20th and Sunday, December 21st. JoyRide becomes “ToyRide” for this two day toy drive supporting Family and Children's Aid (FCA) of Danbury  (www.fcaweb.org). The FCA is a child-focused not-for-profit organization offering high quality, innovative mental health care for children and their families. Riders, as well as anyone that wants to help, are invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy for a child between the ages of 2 through 17 years old. JoyRide is open early morning until 1pm on both days, toys may be dropped off during those hours.

"The FCA offers outpatient programs, in-home services, group homes and foster care for families in the community. This toy drive will help provide toys for the children across all of our programs to allow them to have brighter Christmas this season,” said Karen Holubis, Director of Development for Family and Children’s Aid of Danbury (FCA).

“Community involvement is a big part of our mission statement at JoyRide. We are so fortunate to have built a strong community of generous riders here at our studio over the past 11 months, “ said Corey Londoner, Co-owner of JoyRide Ridgefield. “We feel it is our responsibility to help others where we can especially this time of year. Working with the FCA of Danbury and through the help of our riders and friends, we hope that together we can make a small difference in children’s lives during the holiday season.”
