Tiger Sports collecting baseball equipment for Pitch In For Baseball

Do you have extra youth baseball equipment lying around your house, going unused? Or do you want to help needy children around the globe find positive, skill-building activities?

Donations of any new or gently used baseball equipment, as well as cash donations, can be brought to Tiger Sports, 27 Catoonah Street, from now until Saturday the 28th of February.

Accepted donations:

  • new or gently-used youth baseball gloves
  • aluminum youth baseball bats
  • youth catcher’s equipment
  • umpire’s equipment
  • new baseballs, softballs*
  • youth batting helmets

*The charity specifically needs more baseballs and gloves, as baseballs are harder to collect and fewer players are willing to give up a glove than an old pair of cleats.

Cash donations of $25 would also be greatly appreciated! Your money will be used to purchase shirts for jerseys. Tiger Sports will donate the money to have them screen printed with a team name and numbers.

Pitch In For Baseball is a Harleysville, PA based charity that gives children from impoverished communities all around the world, including the U.S., the opportunity to play the sport. The volunteer organization works with teams and leagues and provides them with uniforms and equipment to give them the chance to play baseball. These donations are given to Pitch In For Baseball by the supporters of the charity, whether it be large companies or one individual.

All donations can be brought to Tiger Sports, 27 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. If you have any questions please contact Katie Yuen at katiegyuen@gmail.com or Tiger Sports at 203-894-3286. Tiger Sports is open Monday through Friday 10 A.M  to 5 P.M  and Saturday 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.
