Animal Fair Pet Shop Partners with Pets-For-Vets on Final Weekend of Business!

All purchases for Pet For Vets will ring at 50% off retail until we close the doors on April 24th.

This weekend, April 18-19, will be the last weekend of sales at Animal Fair as Connie prepares to retire and close the doors of Animal Fair for the last time. The final day that Animal Fair will be open to the public is April 24.

During our final week, all items will be 40% off. In addition, we are partnering with Pets-For-Vets . Customers will be able to purchase new items for donation to Pets For Vets at 50% off retail pricing. Animal Fair will hold all items purchased until they can be picked up. Wish lists for pet supply kits will be available at Animal Fair and a representative from Pets For Vets will be at the shop on Sunday afternoon. Cash donations will also be accepted.

“Everything we do at Animal Fair impacts the relationship of the pet and its human companion,” said Connie Kamedulski, retiring owner of Animal Fair. “We have always been about doing everything we can for our community of pets and pet owners. In our final weekend, I am thrilled to be able to help our Ridgefield community support Pets For Vets by offering 50% off retail pricing for anything purchased for the organization.”

“Pets for Vets is a national not for profit organization whose goal is to help heal the emotional wounds of military veterans by pairing them with a shelter animal that is specially selected to match his or her personality,” said Didi Tulloch, Chapter Director for  Pet-For-Vets ROAR- Ridgefield

“Professional animal trainers rehabilitate the animals and teach them good manners to fit into the veteran’s lifestyle. Training includes becoming comfortable with wheel chairs or behaviors needed to help with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) . Needy shelter animals receive a second chance at life while giving our returning soldiers a second chance at health and happiness. In addition, Pets For Vets supplies each new pet owner with a complete set of supplies at no charge. This is where this weekend’s Animal Fair event comes in, with Animal Fair offering a 50% discount on all items purchased from the wish list.”

ROAR Donofrio Family Animal Shelter is an official shelter chapter with Pets for Vets, Inc. Pets for Vets provides a second chance for both our returning veteran and needy shelter animals. The bonds of friendship formed between man and animal have the power to ease the suffering of troops when they return home from overseas.  We will be working with veterans that have PTSD, TBI or just help them re-entering society after their tour of duty in the Connecticut and New York areas.
