Doggy Dash 5K Raises over $7,000 for ROAR

The first Doggy Dash 5K and Kids 1 Mile fun run took place this Sunday morning at RHS in support of Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR).

Over 160 people came out to run in the race to raise over $7,000 for ROAR. In addition to the kids fun run, there were two heats of the 5K one just for runners and one for runners and their pooch. More than 60 people ran with their four legged friends.

The Doggy Dash was a non profit run conceptualized by JoyRide Ridgefield and Kilometers Running Store.

A special thanks goes to all the sponsors including Ridgefield Academy, PTP Training, Pet Pantry of Wilton, Horizon, Tom Tom's Restaurant (who provided bagels for all the runners!), Just Girl It, SPHERE and Therapeutic Massage and Nutrition who donated free massages for participants post race.
