On Saturday, November 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m., SPHERE will hold their first fundraising Gala at BMW of Ridgefield.
Community members are invited and encouraged to attend “A Rainbow of Possibilities” - an evening dedicated toward celebrating SPHERE while raising funds necessary to assure programs and experiences remain fulfilling and vibrant. Cocktails, a sit-down dinner, dancing, and a live and silent auction will make this a fun and very memorable event.
Here's the colorful story behind the bountiful and beautiful rainbow called SPHERE:
Twenty eight years ago, a group of parents joined forces so they could provide a better life for their children- a life rich with opportunities that fostered emotional and intellectual growth coupled with fun, enriching experiences. The parents shared a common bond: their children had developmental disabilities. They called the organization they formed SPHERE.
The impact SPHERE has had on lives has stretched far beyond the boundaries those who comprise the group. In fact, it has stretched far beyond the boundaries of the town of Ridgefield. For more than a quarter century, not only those with disabilities, but all people, both young and old, have benefited because they come in contact with SPHERE. Watching the members perform on stage, listening to them sing at community events, purchasing their jewelry at local shops, and rubbing shoulders with them where they proudly work- SPHERE has changed the way people think about those with disabilities.
Today, SPHERE is comprised of more then 50 very engaged and enthusiastic members from Fairfield County and beyond, and a host of local volunteers who are dedicated toward making certain members are learning, growing and smiling.
