Memory Lane Cruisers Donate Proceeds from Summerfest Car Show to SPHERE

Memory Lane Cruisers revved up this year's Summerfest with a classic car show featuring vintage cars, trucks, and motorcycles. Best part? They donated the proceeds from the car registration fees to SPHERE.  In addition, they partnered with Winter Brothers who set up a food tent and donated proceeds from their Summerfest food sale to SPHERE.

SPHERE volunteer and driver of the SPHERE bus, Sharon Scott, was the brainchild behind choosing SPHERE as the beneficiary. "I went to Dave and said let's do SPHERE, they are talking about budget cuts, and I want to raise money."

Dave Coles, President of Memory Lane Cruisers said that in total, Memory Lane Cruisers raised more than 1K for SPHERE. The philanthropic car club uses each of their shows to raise funds for a local organization. "We're all car collectors but we decided years ago that we want to help people in town. We want to give back to the community," explains Coles. "I want to thank everyone for coming and I want to thank the volunteers - people who aren't even part of the club but came down to help us," he said.

Tonight, SPHERE members gathered with members of Memory Lane Cruisers outside of Jesse Lee for a photo-op and to give thanks for their support and hard work. The funds raised will help SPHERE to continue their weekly programming and the operation of the SPHERE bus.
