Tuesday, December 1 is #GivingTuesday, an online global initiative to encourage charitable giving during the holiday season.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
"It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity," the #GivingTuesday Campaign explains.

Make a donation to RVNA on #GivingTuesday and Give the Gift of Health
Donations made to RVNA on #GivingTuesday will be used to purchase a variety of much-needed items and medical services for the community.
RVNA's wish list includes:
- Cardiac nurse training & certification
- Fully stocked nursing bag
- Pulse ox machine
- Nursing visit for an uninsured patient
- Home health aide visit to a homebound senior citizen
- Stop & Shop gift cards for the RVNA food pantry
