Think Ridgefield Non-Profits on TODAY & Give Where You Live

Fairfield County Giving Day – March 9

March 9 is Fairfield County’s Giving Day. The goal is to raise over $1.25 million in 24 hours through online donations for 430 local nonprofit organizations.

Initiated by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, Giving Day unites our community around local causes close to our hearts. This incredible day encourages all community members to “give where you live.” Bank of America is the lead sponsor for the fourth year.

As board members of Fairfield County’s Community Foundation and residents of Ridgefield, we encourage everyone age 18+ to visit FCGives.org on March 9 and donate to any of the registered nonprofits.

20 organizations in our community are participating this year.  They are:  A Better Chance, Boys & Girls Club, Discovery Center at Ridgefield, Friends of Ridgefield Parks & Recreation, Friends of the Norwalk River Valley Trail, Keeler Tavern Preservation Society, Lounsbury House, Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield, Rides for Ridgefield, Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Ridgefield Historical Society, Ridgefield Library Association, Ridgefield Theater Barn, Ridgefield Visiting Nursing Association, Ridgefield Workshop for the Performing Arts, SPHERE, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, The Princess Ball, The Ridgefield Chorale, and The Ridgefield Playhouse.

You can donate as little as $10. Each donation adds up, and can help nonprofits win over $20,000 in cash prizes!

Please set a reminder to visit FCGives.org on March 9 and give to your favorite local nonprofits. It’s a fun, easy and important way to make a difference right here in Fairfield County.
