Ridgefield buildOn hosts fundraiser at 850 Degrees on March 27

850 Degrees in Ridgefield will host a fundraiser for Ridgefield buildOn on Monday, March 27 from 5-9 pm. When you dine in or takeout from 850, owner Larry Debany will donate 10% of the proceeds to Ridgefield buildOn.

The Ridgefield chapter of buildOn, founded Ridgefield High School student Callie Whelan and a few of her friends, is part of a national organization that strives to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations through service learning programs.

“In July, several RHS students including myself will travel to spend a week in Senegal, a west African country, where we will initiate the construction of a primary school,” says Whelan.

This is the second fundraiser the Ridgefield chapter of buildOn has held at 850. “We’re returning to 850 this month with the same passionate objective as always: to enthusiastically subsidize the education of Senegalese children, parents, and grandparents,” explains Whelan.

Ridgefield buildOn is committed to funding buildOn’s next primary school! By making a tax-deductible donation, you will help us to reach their goal of bringing the gift of education to people who need it the most!
