Doggies and Diamonds Every Thursday Evening at Addessi Jewelers
ROAR and Addessi join efforts to find caring homes for pups, one tail at a time
Doggies and Diamonds takes place every Thursday night in the fall from 5-8pm with a pop up hosted by Roar (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue) at Addessi Jewelers, 387 Main Street. Shoppers of this Thursday, November 2nd, are invited to meet this week’s adoption candidate, Josie, a seven-year-old mixed breed who needs a home and do some early holiday shopping. Josie’s supporters have already shown an enormous amount of love through Facebook. Stop by, talk to ROAR volunteers and learn more about their commitment to finding homes for cats and dogs, one tail at a time. Make an adoption fee contribution or volunteer your time or better yet, take Josie home.
With outstanding sales that the event has had, Wayne Addessi, owner of Addessi Jewelers, has pledged to donate a portion of all sales that night to ROAR “We are pleased to support ROAR’S adoption services and programs including Pets for Vets, Dog Training Therapy and all of their many give back efforts devoted to animals in need. Many people fail to realize the positive impact of animals in our daily lives: from service animals, to the dogs that helped with recent search and rescue efforts in hurricane disaster areas”, he adds. Addessi Jewelers is a family owned business which has been proactive in the support of non-profits and the arts in the Ridgefield Community
Says Sandy Sullivan, vice president of the Roar Board of Directors, “We appreciate everything Wayne is doing to promote the shelter and get Josie adopted. He has always been supportive and this is just one of the many ways over the years.” Since their founding in 2005, ROAR has placed over 4,500 cats and dogs in caring homes.
