I Have a Dream on Tuesday, April 22, and Doktor Kaboom on Wednesday, May 7, will inspire kids at The Ridgefield Playhouse

I Have a Dream will inspire students (ideal for grades 3-8) through the story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s struggles and dreams at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Tuesday, April 22. Science goes center stage with the sometimes successful experiments of Doktor Kaboom! on Wednesday, May 7. Both shows have two performances, at 10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s dream was to lift "our nation from the quicksand of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood." The phenomenal impact of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is chronicled in I Have a Dream, a compelling dramatization of the life and times of one of the most influential and charismatic leaders of the "American Century".

Doktor Kaboom! is an interactive one-man Science variety show. The creation of Actor/Comedian David Epley, Doktor Kaboom! blends theatre arts with the wonders of scientific exploration. He will take students on a sidesplitting journey of increasingly spectacular, and often successful, experiments and demonstrations. He keeps his crowds riveted with interest and rolling with laughter using humor and comedy
while demonstrating spectacular applications of the physical sciences.

These productions are supported by Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation, The Box of Rain Foundation, First Student Buses, The Leir Retreat Center, The Philip H. and Christine Lodewick Foundation, Newman's Own Foundation and Union Savings Bank.
