Experience it all

The beginning of the summer in Danbury means the Annual Greek Festival AKA The Greek Experience at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Danbury, Connecticut. Featuring traditional Greek food, Greek dancing,raffles, games, and other activities, the festival is this weekend, June 6th, 7th and 8th, 2014!

Free and Easy access

The festival is held on the church grounds, 30 Clapboard Ridge Road. That is just a mile north of exit 5 from I-84. There is plenty of parking available at nearby Danbury High School. From there take the regular shuttle bus back and forth. Parking, bus rides and admission to the festival are all free.

A full weekend schedule

The Greek Experience is three full days: Friday 5pm to 11pm, Saturday 12 noon to 11pm and Sunday 12 noon to 9pm. Part of the experience is dancing and that is happening almost all the time. Click here to see the exact times for the different performances.

Two food tents

You can't experience Greece without food and this festival has so many 'home made' specialties you won't know when to stop eating. There are two food tents with different items. You will find Moussaka, Spanakopita, and Souvlaki plus much more. See the proposed menu on line, click here .
