This year's Summerfest, the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce's annual summer event complete with local merchants' sidewalk sales, is stepping it up a notch... or dialing back the clock to 1964! Ridgefield Rewinds ~ Summerfest '64 will be held on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, and will have a vintage car and motorcycle show, a dance party in Ballard Park, vintage-style pop-up art, historic tributes, and fun for all ages.
And, just announced, the weekend will come to a close with a C.H.I.R.P. concert at the Ridgefield Playhouse. On Saturday, July 19, beginning at 7 p.m. the daughter of iconic 60's folk singer Arlo Guthrie, Sarah Lee Guthrie, and her husband Johnny Irion will perform a FREE concert. This acoustic duo meshes folk and country with rock and blues into a performance that is hard to forget.
