The Big Read 2014: Ridgefield Reads The Great Gatsby

Join The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts and the Ridgefield Library this fall as we organize a community-wide reading initiative of The Great Gatsby under the auspices of The Big Read.

The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment. The Ridgefield Playhouse, in partnership with the Ridgefield Library, is one of 77 not-for-profit organizations to receive a grant to host a Big Read project between September 2014 and June 2015. The NEA presents The Big Read in partnership with Arts Midwest. This program is also made possible with support from Liz and Steven Goldstone.
